Playday 2024 - Free Family Play Day at Tower Hill Park in Hessle

Hessle Town Council is excited to announce a Family Play Day at Tower Hill Park in Hessle on the 9th of August 2024 as part of playday 2024, the national day for play!

Playday the biggest play sector event in the UK, and possibly Europe! As well as a celebration of children’s right to play, Playday is a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children’s lives. Playday is coordinated by Play England. The event will run from 10am to 3pm and promises a day full of fun and entertainment for families of all ages. Best of all, it is free to attend!

 

The Family Play Day is designed to offer a variety of engaging activities that cater to Children of all ages including:

Arts and Crafts: Unleash your creativity with a range of crafting activities.

Face Painting: Transform into your favourite characters or animals with our talented face painters.

Games: Participate in a variety of games that will challenge and entertain.

Workshops: Learn new skills and have fun in our interactive workshops.

Soft Archery: Do you have the skills to hit the bullseye?

Humberside Police Patrol Car: Get an up-close look at a real patrol car!

Tower Hill Methodist Church will be open for toilets / refreshments and are hosting two brick by brick workshop (10.30am – 11.30am and 1.30pm – 2.30pm) 

The event aims to provide a fun-filled day for families, giving children a chance to enjoy their summer holidays in a safe and enjoyable environment so pack a picnic, the suncream and an umbrella (just in case)

The Family Play Day is open to children of all ages, spread the word and come join in the fun at Tower Hill Park. With a range of activities planned, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.
