Volunteering in your local community
Hessle Town Council has recently set up a new Hessle Volunteering group that, with support from the council and local organisations, will work together to help ensure Hessle is an attractive place to work, live, and visit.
If you live in Hessle, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of projects that aim to improve the quality of local amenities and enhance the quality of life for the community.
How to get involved
If you are interested in being part of Hessle Volunteering, please fill out this form and email it to events@hessletown.karoo.co.uk. You can also collect a paper copy from Hessle Town Hall, South Lane, Hessle, HU13 0RR.
Could your organisation support Hessle volunteering projects?
If you work for an organisation that would like to support projects by providing personnel, resources, donations and/or equipment, we would love to hear from you! Please email events@hessletown.karoo.co.uk to find out more.
Current Projects
Hessle Community Centre Garden
Hessle Community Centre is used by Hessle and Anlaby Food Bank and Pantry, as well as many community groups, and currently welcomes around 250 users per week.
Although The Hourne Community Centre Trust has already helped to make some great improvements to the centre, the outdoor garden has been identified as the first project for the Hessle Volunteering group.
The aim of this project is to create a beautiful side garden that will be open for the local community to enjoy. Click here to find out more about Hessle Community Centre.
Want to suggest a future project?
Hessle volunteers, and local community or charity organisations, are encouraged to suggest future projects for consideration.
If you have an upcoming event or project that would benefit from the involvement of Hessle Volunteering, please email events@hessletown.karoo.co.uk.
Additional volunteering opportunities
Although Hessle Town Council will make the Hessle Volunteering group aware of one-off involvement opportunities, such as projects and events, there are additional on-going opportunities available from the groups listed below. To find out more, please contact the organisation directly.
