Hessle Community Centre History and Information

Hessle Community Organisation was founded during the 1980’s and is based at The Hessle Community Centre on The Hourne originally a school built in Victorian times and occupying the ‘boys side’.

The Community Centre provides rooms for groups eg. Dog training, art, children and toddlers, martial arts, Gateway, slimming world, whist, coffee mornings and community lunches.

A beautiful side garden with plenty of seating and maintained by volunteers is open daily when the weather allows.

The Community Centre minibus runs trips to the coast, countryside and markets allowing a much appreciated opportunity for days out. Lists for these day trips are available from the Community Centre and are displayed on the public notice boards at The Town Hall and in and around Hessle.
