Hessle and District Gardeners Association
On behalf of Hessle & District Gardeners’ Association I would like to welcome you to Hessle Allotments. I hope you enjoy your gardening.
I do hope you will join us at HDGA. Our annual subscription is only £1.00.
The Association was established in 1947 to encourage and help those who garden in the Hessle area. We have a shop on the Boothferry Road Allotment site where we sell composts, fertilisers and other gardening sundries at very competitive prices. Each autumn we have a seed ordering scheme – you can get seeds at 20% discount on the catalogue prices. In spring we have seed potatoes, onion sets and pea seed – all at rock bottom prices.
The Association organises an Annual Show, a Summer Social Evening on the Boothferry Road site and occasionally we have guest speakers.
The Association is run by a Committee. Any committee member will be happy to oblige with any further information and to answer any questions you may have.
Whether you intend to grow for the show bench or just to have fresh fruit, flowers and vegetables for your home, the Association is here to help you achieve your aims. If you have a gardening problem, our experienced gardeners can help you with advice.
We hope you will join us and enjoy the benefits that membership brings. Our shop is open on Saturday and Sunday Mornings 11am until 12 noon, located in the car park of the Boothferry Road Allotment Site.
