Men In Sheds
Over the last 12 months a group of men and women have been working tirelessly to create a “SHED” to serve the whole of the Haltemprice area. We have now found some ideal premises situated on First Lane, Anlaby and are now in the process of going through the required paperwork to take over the building (this is now very close to completion).
The concept is to create a safe place for men and women to spend time doing things of interest either as an individual or within a group instead of feeling lonely.
We will have a good sized workshop complete with good quality machinery for wood and metalwork and spare space for anything else that might come to mind, we will also have two very good sized meeting rooms including a well fitted kitchen and separate toilet facilities for ladies and gents. There is a garden area which will have a shed, greenhouse, raised beds and seating areas to relax in and enjoy the fresh air.
The trustees are looking to welcome anyone who is interested in joining us in any of the above interests or for bringing new ideas to the shed (it can be most things that are legal).
As well as sorting out the transfer of the premises we are actively involved in sourcing funds/funding to add too and run the shed, so if anyone as some experience in this field we would welcome your help.
