If you do not have sufficient income to meet your essential daily living costs, you can make an application for a one-off Household Support Fund payment of £200 via East Riding Council’s emergency assistance scheme. To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be an East Riding resident and in receipt of housing benefit, housing element of universal credit or council tax support, and
- Be in receipt of a means tested benefit and have been continuously for a minimum of 3 months, and
- Applicant and partner not in employment, and
- Have less than £1000 in savings, and
- Not received financial support from the Household Support Fund during the period 1 April 2024 to 30 September 2024
- Not receiving targeted financial support from the current Household Support Fund.
If you are eligible, we will aim to make payments within 20 days of a full application and any evidence needed to support your claim.
