Hessle Town Council has a Mission Statement which defines the Council's aims for making Hessle a safer, fairer and greener place for the people of Hessle.
Hessle's Town Plan is based on the results of a range of consultation activities in the community of Hessle, in 2010, including a questionnaire delivered to every household.

Hessle Town Council, under the Audit Commission Act 1998, is responsible for preparing, approving and publishing the Annual Accounting Statements to certify that the Council has discharged its statutory duty in relation to its financial affairs.
